Peggy Quotes

Her multi instrumentalism (guitar, autoharp, banjo, keyboards, concertina), her unashamed fealty to the politics of folk music (where gender wars, labour laws, ecology and Napoleon jostle for space), and her magnificent voice conspired to still a surprisingly small crowd who hung on her every note and syllable. - Siobhan Long, Irish Times

Peggy Quotes 2

The beautiful thing about this album is the way it feels both contemporary and classic simultaneously. 'Everything Changes' will fit in perfectly with Seeger's previous work but will also introduce a whole new generation to a way of songwriting that isn't driven by radio minutes or a killer chorus, more by storytelling and getting a message to all those awake enough to listen.

The Velvet Hills of Blenheim

velvet hillsThe Velvet Hills of Blenheim

2017

Blenheim, New Zealand is an interesting town. In its heyday it was beautiful until fire and flood took it out some decades ago. It was subjected to a fast re-build and is now one of the ugliest towns in the country. BUT it has lots of facilities for all ages, from babies to those preparing for the next world. Teenagers actually stay here. Kids can roller-skate and cycle in the streets safely. Other than in the big cities, life is slow and easy on these islands.
